Minorarc is proud to announce an immersive sonic exploration with the release of “Inclusions.”
Ivan Bullock, Melbourne-based multi-instrumentalist and solo project Minorarc, has created an intense, rich listening experience with this new release of “Inclusions.” With eight monumental instrumental tracks, Minorarc’s fourth full-length album presents music that combines the emotional sensibilities of classical piano, the immersive heaviness of progressive metal, and pastoral soundscapes of post-rock and modern electronica.
Bullock is a classically trained violinist educated in the world of experimental and underground music and comfortably converges multiple, seemingly opposing, genres into one rich sonic experience. Filled with pieces that range from dark, moody piano motifs and brutal djent sonic forging, Inclusions is a journey of despair, regret, rage, and flickering hope.
“Three Times” and “Bleeding Facet” convey vast landscapes of emotional space, while other elements that provide a lighter space, delicate acoustic guitar alongside background orchestral pads, offer momentary prevails between the storms.
The album's unconventional song structures and layers lead to comparisons to trailblazers like Devin Townsend and Explosions in the Sky, but Minorarc's voice remains distinctive. Inclusions is the culmination of 20 years of experimentation, providing the listener with a deeply cathartic trip from darkness to light. With each note, Minorarc encourages you to experience a paradoxical world of sadness and beauty that allures you more with each listen.
