Sammy. /REVERSIES is a Tokyo-based solo act that has always crafted achingly honest songs containing introspective lyrics with a mix of grunge, J-rock, and emo. Now with their new single "Full of Lies", the listener feels a visceral gut punch and realizes that honesty and vulnerability sometimes roar louder than a distortion pedal.

The single "Full of Lies" opens with a searing chorus, and it is completely unguarded and vulnerable right from the start. The titular lyric, "That was full of lies," carries like a personal reckoning with your emotions and relates to ideas of being betrayed, going through an inner storm, and attempting to find who you are.

The instrumentation flows in and out like a crashing wave: at the start, an acoustic lullaby draws you into discovering an intimate confession, and then swells into layering guitars and thunderous drums for time to release some of the sadness.
