San Diego’s GHST THE GOD shifts from cycles of love and overthinking to melodic vulnerability in “Again”

From the depths of the San Diego indie scene, GHST THE GOD presents “Again”, a raw self-produced single that explores the pain of cyclical emotional repartitions. The song combines melodic rap with ambient production influenced by Kid Cudi, Post Malone, and Don Toliver.

Written, arranged, mixed, and mastered exclusively by GHST THE GOD in his living room of his 475 square foot apartment, “Again” is as personal as it gets. The layered vocals filled with harmonies that he performed all himself are confessional in texture, telling the story of love trapped in cycles. The frustration that accompanies the realization of these cycles is lyrically echoed through a stunning production with introspective lyrics and stunning sound design.

Instrumental contributions from Deangelo Khonaisser and Savidya Banagewatte create the base of the track, but it's GHST THE GOD's vision that constructs the emotional arc of the writing.

He put the song together in four days; a moment of creativity that cut through his normal months of polishing. You can feel that urgency; nothing feels overcooked, but each element is intentional. “Again” is more than a song; it is a moment captured, a sonic diary entry about heartbreak, hope, and the restless mind.
