Zodic Revisits First Love on “Fall In Luv (ReEdit)”

Seattle-based artist Zodic returns to the origin of his creative life with “Fall In Luv (ReEdit),” a rerelease that carries both personal history and technical evolution. Written in 2017 for his first girlfriend, the track marks the moment he stepped into music for the first time. It was recorded two years later in Cheney, Washington, while he was attending Eastern Washington University. There, after meeting producer Brecht Lauren at a casino job, Zodic entered a home studio and completed his first song within two hours. That immediacy still defines the record’s emotional clarity.

Brecht Lauren provided the early mix in 2019, Tyler Bugara handled a full remix in Toronto in 2024, and David Mason completed the mastering in 2024/25. The updated version preserves the sincerity of the original vocal performance rehearsed for years before recording while sharpening its sonic balance and depth.

Zodic’s background as a first-generation Haitian American, born in Florida and raised across Washington State, informs the song’s emotional core. His search for identity and belonging parallels the vulnerability of first love.

The quote he carries, “Don’t be ashamed if you fall in love. Cuz everybody wanna Fall In Love,” functions as the release’s thesis.

“Fall In Luv (ReEdit)” stands out because it documents a beginning. It is not polished detachment; it is a timestamp of youth, devotion, and the courage to feel openly.
