Radio Drive Makes Personal History the Heart of the "Walk With Me" Album
Radio Drive’s "Walk With Me" presents Kevin Gullickson at a more reflective point in his musical journey, drawing on personal experience to shape a nine-song alternative pop-rock album. Following a two-year break to prioritise family and other commitments, Gullickson returns with a collection he describes as a deeper reflection of his identity, influences, and evolving perspective.
The album’s central invitation is compelling because it suggests companionship, not simply self-expression. Its title asks listeners to accompany an artist through different stages of life, acknowledging both the distance travelled and the uncertainty of what lies ahead. That personal framing gives the release a clear emotional purpose, although its effectiveness ultimately rests on how convincingly each song develops that sense of shared experience.
Two tracks, “Together” and “Love Beyond the Storm,” have been submitted for consideration in the 2027 Grammy Awards. Their respective submissions span alternative and rock categories, reflecting the stylistic territory Radio Drive occupies.
Gullickson’s collaboration with Grammy-nominated producer and engineer Marc DeSisto for mixing and mastering brings experienced technical expertise to the project. DeSisto’s credits include work associated with U2, Pink Floyd, The Who, and Stevie Nicks. Such experience provides useful context.
The album’s strongest proposition is that music can accompany change without pretending to resolve everything. "Walk With Me" invites listeners into Gullickson’s continuing journey, placing personal priorities and creative persistence at the centre of its message.
