Sania Sunspheres Faces the Uncertainty of Letting Go on “(Not) With You”

Sania Sunspheres’ “(Not) With You” examines the painful uncertainty of deciding whether love can survive as friendship after a relationship ends. The single captures the emotional disorientation of heartbreak, relocation, and rebuilding a life when the future feels unfamiliar.

Written after Sania returned to Austria following six years in Ireland, the song reflects a period when her former relationship and established social world no longer offered the security they once provided. The repeated question of remaining friends carries genuine tension: holding on can preserve connection, but it can also delay acceptance. The line “If you don't keep believing, then leave it with me now” captures that conflict without pretending emotional closure comes easily.

Recorded in Vienna with producer and friend Alex G, the track emerged from conversations about personal experiences of loss. Their collaborative relationship allowed Sania to direct mixing and mastering decisions while retaining ownership of her creative vision. Carefully synchronised vocal layers aim to preserve the natural richness of her voice, supporting an approach that values emotional expression over unnecessary complexity.

Sania’s wider artistic concept gives the single additional context. Her debut eight-song album follows a metamorphosis through heartbreak toward renewed wholeness, while her sun-inspired identity embraces darkness and re-emergence alongside hope. This perspective gives difficult emotions legitimate space, resisting the expectation that every painful experience must quickly become a positive lesson.

“(Not) With You” offers a thoughtful reflection on the space between losing someone and learning to live without them. Sania Sunspheres recognises that healing rarely follows a straight line, and that sometimes accepting an ending is the first honest step toward becoming whole again.
