Big O revolutionizes music with bold new album, When It's Not Said, But Done.

London-based producer Big O demonstrates he is an audacious innovator with his new album, When It's Not Said, But Done. Composed of more than 15 songs, Big O offers a non-linear body of work based on experimentation that mingles styles but also contains a distinct vision that is both personal and unifying. Referencing Madlib, Four Tet, J Dilla, and Kiefer, every song collectively highlights a spirit of exploration that truly transcends traditional forms.

The album offers a variety of instrumental pieces gleaned from his home studio in London, which are less about words and more about action and movement. This is true to Big O’s saying, "less talking, more doing." Songs such as "Relaxing My Emotions" create an Afrobeats influence while remaining tied to hip-hop, R&B, and other nuanced rhythms. "A Better (Me)" and "Walking into Next Week" both feature artists IB Delight and Jeronimo G and demonstrate the collaborative energy of the album. Overall, the production sounds both organic and deliberate, with raw textures that blend with polished arrangements.

The significance of this album lies in Big O's ability to step outside of his own comfort zone. Instead of simply replicating things that worked in the past, he takes himself into uncertain territory, trusting the process and finding out what makes sense as the music unfolds. The result is a work that feels alive; autonomous, courageous, and unpredictably fresh.

With When It's Not Said, But Done, Big O communicates what true artistry is really about: not in saying things, but through doing things, leaving us with an album that stays in our minds long after the last song has ended.
