Michellar's "Truth Over Lies" (feat. Frankie El): A Bold Anthem of Hope and Resistance

San Francisco-based singer, songwriter Michellar, with her new single "Truth Over Lies" feat. Frankie El creates an impactful wake-up call to society. The song, along with collaborators Michael Levine and Matthias Schmidt, was written during a songwriting retreat in Idyllwild, California. It reflects the time of a global crisis and the need for truth amid fake news and the despair of politics.

Firmer structures of U2 and Coldplay's grand, emotional soundscapes have been cited as influences on "Truth Over Lies," one of those songs where melody meets message head-on, which references social issues and calls for the truth. The rapper "Frankie El", who recorded in South Africa, and the plague effect, mixed in Hollywood by Miles the producer, transformed the track into a class that calls itself aloud.

The "truth over lies" lyrics highlight the fundamental reason they are so effective, and they are typical of the qualities of the best protest songs. Michellar possesses the imagination to traverse the boundaries of music and political ideology, thereby demonstrating how art can still be the spark of the collective goal.

No doubt, protest songs can be reckoned but this one is an assertion of the perpetual power that music has to wake, cure and motivate the masses. In such a confused world, "Truth Over Lies" can be recognized as at the vanguard of clarity.
