Michellar’s “My Alma Latina” EP: Soulful Celebration of Heritage, Prayer, and Latin Roots

San Francisco-based artist Michellar releases soul-filled debut EP “My Alma Latina”, a radiant five-track celebration of her Spanish and Filipino roots, is now out on all major platforms. More than just a body of work, this EP is a musical love letter to heritage, healing, and cultural pride.

Kicking off the project is “California Fields”, Michellar's bold reimagining of a sacred song. Climactic Santana-inspired guitar work complements spiritual lyricism that elevates a traditional church hymn to a modern, vibrant, and ultimately inviting expression of hope and prayer for all spirituality, regardless of denominational affiliation.

Stepping into the rhythm with much-adored sonic grooves is “The Deep”, while “Ave Maria” takes us into a dreaminess and contemplative, reflective, and organic characteristics. “If It’s Only for One Night” showcases Michellar’s romantic side with soft instrumentation and longing. “Samba With Me Tonight” concludes the project of deeper emotional textures as a cinematic track recorded in London.

The EP was made by Lloyd Miller at Spirit Song Studios and recorded in San Francisco, Austin, and London, giving Michellar a truly global context for telling stories. "My Alma Latina" is not just an EP, it's an act of culture, a personal prayer, and the very beginning of something great artistically.
