Michellar Brings Autumn to Life with “September”

San Francisco artist Michellar can deliver and capture the essence of change, memory, and reflection in their new original single “September.” Grounded in the glorious legacy of folk music, “September” channels the spirit of legends like James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, and Bob Dylan to pair heartfelt lyrics with a timeless acoustic sensibility.

“September” can be seen as a meditation on shifting life, the fading warmth of summer, and the introspective nature of fall. Michellar’s rich songwriting skillfully paints images of shifting light and myriad colors and themes while simultaneously allowing us to enjoy the delicate act of looking back on summers that have passed. The addition of vocalist Helen Walford’s distinctive and emotive delivery further elevates the performance, providing an extra layer of sincere emotion and vulnerability to Michellar's lyrics.

“September” was written, performed, and recorded in San Francisco and mixed and mastered in Staffordshire, UK, by Tobias Wilson to contribute to its global spirit.
